Trinity, FL. After a 2 month long hiatus, Salinsky racing is preparing to compete in the third and fourth rounds of the Pirelli World Challenge north of the border at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. Driver Jay Salinsky along with friend and fellow competitor Eric Powell have been spending time together preparing to compete in the upcoming event weekend. Back in early April an event held at Sebring International Raceway with Chin Motorsports allowed us to bring several cars out to the track to get a little seat time. Jay drove his Mazda MX-5 racecar while Eric drove Jay’s Spec Race Atom. Both drivers put down some fast laps and enjoyed bringing some friends along for the ride.
Jay has also spent some time practicing on our custom made simulator that we store in our warehouse. He invited Eric out to some get some practice time on the simulator since he has never been to CTMP before. It’s truly a lifesaver to be able to practice driving on a sim if you have never been to a particular track before. Top Speed Motion Simulators out of Quebec, Canada built our simulator from the ground up complete with a moving seat & triple screen display. It comes with the iRacing and rFactor racing games and many different car setups already preprogrammed in. Donald Landreville is the owner of the company and built the simulator to our custom needs. Jay has been using it for years and it’s become an important part of the training needed to learn a new track. Donald has been a valuable resource any time we had questions or needed help with the simulator. As it turns out, he will be bringing out one of his custom mobile simulators to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park for the Pirelli World Challenge weekend so that fans & drivers alike can try their hand at iRacing. Jay and Donald have only met through the phone and FaceTime so it will be nice to finally meet him in person to thank him for building such an amazing simulator.
