Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman. (Monday, February 29, 2016) Regenexx Cayman is proud to announce its partnership with former racing teammates, Jay Salinsky and Shea Holbrook. Jay Salinsky will be driving the #16 Fuse Lenses/Berg Racing Mazda MX-5 in the TCA class while Shea Holbrook returns this year in the TC class with her brand new Bubba Burger/Shea Racing Honda Accord. Both drivers will be displaying the Regenexx Cayman logo on their cars for the full 2016 season of the Pirelli World Challenge. The season opener will be held at the legendary Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX on March 3-6 with over 100 drivers competing across the seven different classes.
Regenexx Cayman provides blood platelet and stem cell treatments to help patients suffering from orthopedic injuries and degenerative conditions, including joint arthritis, tendon and ligament tears, cartilage damage, non-healing fractures and more. Stem cells act as your body’s “repairmen,” but unfortunately, as you age or get injured, you may not have enough cells to help facilitate repair. Regenexx procedures can enhance your body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Regenexx Cayman offers the most advanced orthopedic stem cell procedure available in the world today, Regenexx-C; whereby, a patient’s own stem cells are extracted, grown to larger numbers (100 to 1,000 times more cell growth than procedures done in the United States), thoroughly tested for quality assurance, and re-injected into the precise area of injury. Through cryopreservation (stem cell storage), patients also have the opportunity to lock in the power of their young, healthy cells now and reactivate their stem cell “repair kit” later in life when they need it most.
“Storing your stem cells is a great way to get a little insurance against the fact that your cells, like the rest of you, are aging,” says Dr. Christopher Centeno, Regenexx founder and physician. “While aging is inevitable, you can preserve the power of your stem cells today and look forward to a healthier tomorrow. However, do not wait until it is too late – lock in the strength and vitality of your young, healthy stem cells now.”
Regenexx Cayman’s U.S. board certified physicians pioneered orthopedic stem cell treatments in 2005. To date, more than 28,000 Regenexx procedures have been performed worldwide.
Dr. Jay Salinsky, driver of the #16 Fuse Lenses/Berg Racing Mazda MX-5, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon practicing at the Center for Bone and Joint Disease in Hudson and Brooksville, FL. He specializes in general orthopedics, total joints and arthroscopy, and sports injuries. Dr. Salinsky began his professional racing career in 2015 driving the Shea Racing Honda Fit in a partial season of the Pirelli World Challenge in the TCB class.
“This partnership with Regenexx Cayman is a perfect fit for me,” says Dr. Salinsky “I can use my platform as a professional racing driver, and my extensive knowledge as an orthopedic surgeon, to give practical information to the public about how stem cells can benefit them. For less than the cost of a year of health insurance, Regenexx Cayman can retrieve your stem cells and safely store them indefinitely. What better insurance is there for your health? Unfortunately, these innovative treatments are not available in the U.S. So…why not enjoy the beautiful Cayman Islands while you relax on Seven Mile Beach, sipping a cocktail, knowing you’ve given yourself the best insurance money can buy?”
Shea Holbrook, driver of the #67 Bubba Burger/Shea Racing Honda Accord, sees the value of these procedures as well. “With my history as a professional water skiier, prior to becoming a racecar driver, I know what it’s like to sustain many injuries over the years. Part of the reason I had to give up water skiing was due to repeated injuries and destroying my joints. Regenexx Cayman’s cryopreservation will allow athletes like me to store their own stem cells – while they are still young and healthy – and to be called upon if needed after injury. This type of insurance is critical because no one knows what will happen as they age. I am very proud to be partnering with this industry-leading company.”
“The question you should be asking yourself is not ‘can I afford it?’- it’s ‘can I afford NOT to do it?’” says, Dr. Salinsky.
